FAQ

Quick answers to common questions. If you're new to Shula, read Getting Started first — it covers the org, admin/player, balance, and tags vocabulary these answers rely on.

Why can't I see a session or event?

For recurring sessions: some are restricted to players with a specific tag (for example, "men" or "women"). If a session doesn't show up on your schedule, the most likely reason is that it's tagged for a group you're not in. If you think that's a mistake, ask an admin in your org — they can see and adjust which tags a session is restricted to.

Events aren't tag-restricted, so a missing event isn't a tags issue — if you think an event should be on your schedule but isn't, check with an admin in your org.

What happens if my balance goes negative?

Nothing stops working right away. A negative balance just means you're in debt to your org — you can still RSVP to sessions and events, and use your membership, while carrying that debt. Admins can see which players have a negative balance, so it's worth settling up when you can rather than letting it build up. See Payments for how charges and top-ups work.

Can I cancel my RSVP?

Yes. You can cancel your RSVP to a session or event any time before the session or event itself starts, or before its registration window closes — whichever comes first. Once that window has passed, the RSVP is locked in.

How do I change my notification preferences?

Notification preferences are per-channel — you can turn push notifications and email on or off independently for the kinds of messages your org sends, including announcements. See Announcements for where these settings live and what each channel covers.
